MyFridgeDinner does not collect, store, process, or sell any personally identifiable information about its users. No accounts are required. No usage data is retained. No tracking pixels, session recording, or behavioural profiling is used. Your ingredient selections, recipe generations, and all browsing behaviour on this site are never transmitted to us or any third party under our control.
1. Our Core Privacy Commitment
Privacy by default is not a marketing position for MyFridgeDinner — it is an architectural decision. The recipe generator runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you select ingredients and click “Reveal My Dinner Plan”, that selection is processed locally on your device. No ingredient selections, recipe outputs, click patterns, or interaction data is sent to any server we operate.
We have deliberately chosen not to implement user accounts, login systems, analytics dashboards, session tracking, heat maps, or any form of persistent user identification. This was a conscious design choice made at the outset of the project, and we consider it fundamental to the service we provide.
2. Data We Explicitly Do NOT Collect
To be completely clear about our practices, the following categories of data are not collected by MyFridgeDinner under any circumstances:
- Your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information (unless voluntarily submitted via the contact form — see Section 5)
- Your IP address — we do not log or retain IP addresses in connection with your use of the Service
- Which ingredients you select, which recipes are generated, or how many times you use the generator
- Your device type, browser version, operating system, or screen resolution for profiling purposes
- Geolocation data — we do not request, access, or store your location
- Cookies of our own creation — MyFridgeDinner does not set first-party tracking or analytics cookies
- Browsing history, referral sources, or onward navigation patterns
- Financial, payment, or billing information of any kind
- Any data about children under the age of 13
3. Third-Party Cookies & Google AdSense
MyFridgeDinner may display contextual advertising provided by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party advertising vendor, may use cookies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this and other websites. These cookies are set by Google — not by MyFridgeDinner — and are governed entirely by Google's Privacy Policy, which you can review at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not have access to, control over, or visibility into the data collected by Google's advertising system.

4. PayPal Donation Processing
If you choose to make a voluntary donation, you will be redirected to PayPal's secure platform via an external link. All donation transaction details — including your payment information and PayPal account data — are processed entirely by PayPal and governed by PayPal's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. MyFridgeDinner does not receive, process, or store any payment card data or financial information. We receive only a confirmation notification that a donation has been made.
5. Contact Form Data
When you voluntarily submit a message via our Contact page, the information you provide — your name, email address, and message content — is transmitted to our email inbox solely to respond to your enquiry. This data is:
- Not stored in any database, CRM system, or marketing platform
- Not shared with any third party for any purpose, commercial or otherwise
- Retained only for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry, then deleted at our discretion
- Never used to send you unsolicited commercial communications of any kind
By submitting the contact form, you consent to this specific and limited use of your information. You may request deletion of any contact data we hold by emailing hello@myfridgedinner.com, and we will action your request within 10 business days.
6. Browser-Side Storage
The recipe generator uses your browser's in-memory JavaScript state to track your ingredient selections and recipe rotation position during your current session. This data exists only in your browser's working memory and is automatically cleared when you close or refresh the page. No data is written to localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or any other persistent browser storage mechanism by MyFridgeDinner.

The inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement by MyFridgeDinner of the linked site's privacy practices or data handling. 8. Children's Privacy
MyFridgeDinner is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13. We will delete any such information promptly upon verification.
9. Your Rights Under Data Protection Law
If you are located in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection legislation (including UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or California's CCPA), you may have rights including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, and the right to object to or restrict processing.
As MyFridgeDinner does not collect or retain personal data beyond voluntary contact form submissions, most data subject rights are inherently satisfied by our architecture. However, if you believe we hold any personal data relating to you, you may submit a data subject access request or deletion request to hello@myfridgedinner.com. We will acknowledge your request within 72 hours and fulfil it within 30 days.
10. Security
Although we do not collect personal data in any meaningful quantity, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to ensure that the Service is delivered securely. The website is served over HTTPS to protect data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted to us via the contact form.
